Osama Bin Laden Family Guy

Here is the video that I eluded to in my post a few days ago. I still don't know how to get that hyperlink to work. Enjoy the video and take notes because there will be a test later. Enjoy

I'm out of Coffee

So I have been out of coffee for almost a week. I know this is not a big deal to some people, but to us cyclists this is a major problem. Instead of just going to the store to buy more coffee, that would be to easy, I have been going to different places every morning to get that ever so important morning coffee fix. Well today I was starting to run out of different places to go get this fix until an idea popped into my head. What was that idea you may ask? Well it has to do with certain smells that are overwhelming at brian's house. Still don't know?

Now you may ask why this last picture is not turned the correct way. The answer to that question is do you think that I have the time to make sure that all my pictures have been formatted correctly before I post. I just don't have that much time on my hands.

Board in class again. Money well spent? NO!

So I have decided that bringing my computer to class is not the greatest idea that I have ever had. The reason for this is my inability to pay attention during class, due to my surfing the internet for any thing other than what is being discussed in class.

Reading evans blog today made me decide to put this picture up for corey's sake to contribute to coreys sun flower collection.

My life this last week has been nothing but school, with a big presentation and a test this week. I'd like to think that this is the reason that I have not been riding since last wednesday, But I have been lazey and not getting out there. I am thinking of doing pine wood climb on friday I think if anyone is interested. I plan on continuing the tradition of drunking biking on friday nights. Last weeek I blacked out at pitchers and aparently myde my way back to my house by weeving and swerving all the way home. Let me know if any one wants to participate friday. Thanks for reading my great blog.

Can You believe that I'm Updating

So I have been avoiding updating, but I decided that I was so bored in class today that I decided that it was time.

Is anyone else ready for Christmas vacation? I know I am!

So by now most of you know about my recent induction into the century club. Well I didn't think that I could do it, but thanks to Corey sitting in the wind from Estes back to greeley I was able to make it back home. This was the first time that I got to decent on a bike that fits me. So after a long wait here is the bicycle review for the 2005 Oreba Onix.

What can I say about riding a bike that fits you properly, how did I go so long without a bike like this? Riding up hill on the onix seemed much easier than it was on the steel monster, probably again due to the better fit. I have decided that on this new bike that mathematically I can't be beaten.(yeah right)

Starting my 6th year in college I am getting really sick of having to take classes that I have already taken. For example I took a class my second year called health promotion for sports and exercise science, now I am taking a class called health promotion for nurses and it is exactly the same thing. Money well spent I think.

Living the CARBON LIFE!

So as the majority of you faithful readers already know my big news for the day. But because it looks so good in writing, I bought the orbea onix today from steve. I am going to go on a farewell group ride tonignt with the bianchi to feel the italian glory for one last time before she assumes her role as a fixed gear. And I cant wait to see how good my new shifters are goignto feel before they get transfered to the spanish lady.

On a different note when I got home from the bike shop, I was trying to make room for jason's ocr2 and I broke the coffee pot into a million pieces (with a half a pot of coffee). The worst part of the coffee maker breaking is the fact that I mopped my floor for the first time in a few months the other day, and now I had to re-mop all the coffee off the floor. Then a few minutes later I broke a glass drinking cup. Apparently its my day to break stuff. Well thats all for now.

Trouble on the road!

I decided that I figure out how to get pictures up on for all the world to see. The picture that I decided to post is of a flat tire that I got on HW-85. The best part is the fact that I didnt have a spare tire to put on after this happened. Last night I had more people over at my dirty appartment than I ever had before. I had 7 people over drinking and and trying to explain to non-cyclists how the tour works. Koch and evan tried to explain the domstique thing to evan's old roommate. This kid was not getting it even with them arguing with him for over an hour, all talking at the same time. All of the officers of the cycling team except the pres were in attendence. There was an ex-pres, but thats not the same!

On the fourth I went to the parade that and got a few pictures that I though you would be sort of interested in. I would have posted these with the independence post, but I didn't know how to get picutes up until today. For your viewing pleasure

Independence Day

It has come to my attention from the former president of the cycling team that it is imperative that I make up dates to my site. So here it is.

I have been bikeless for almost a week because of a complication with the rebuilding of my shifters. It turns out that a part that was not expected to be broken was and apparently this part is not being manufactured by campy any more. Steve at Roubaix is attempting to find the part in Campy junk yards around Colorado, but until the part is found the veloce is lying naked over in the shop. I did get Steve to put the speed play cleat onto my shoes, now I'm only waiting for Corey to get me the pedals.

My Six day weekend off of school has been full of nothing but work. The only day that I got off with nothing to do except watch the tour was today and I am trying to make the most out of the day by already drinking for the last hour or two. I am evening working on the fourth because I will be making double time. I am going to get off my ass this week and try out the new thompson seat post that I got for my mountain bike, only this time I will try to keep the falls down to a number that I can count to on one hand.
Thanks for reading, Dana

Because Every One is Doing It!

After spending so much time readiong other peoples blogs, I thought that it was time that I start my own blog. It is finals week for those of us that are in summer school. Finals are going like they always do, stressfull.

I went into Roubaix today to borrow an allen wrench because the saddle on my mountain bike was loose and found out that the seat bolt was bent and the top plate to the seat post was destroyed. How that Happened I'll have no idea. It must have occured during one of the many fall that I sustained during the ride up devils back bone last tuesdaty with biking scout and cory.
